The first phones which will run the upcoming Firefox OS have been revealed by Mozilla and Geeksphone.  The Operating system is based on HTML 5 Web-programming language and Mozilla is marketing it as an OSA that gives you more freedom.

To start with, two phones are to be released.  One will be a high-end phone while the other a more budget phone. Keon is the basic model which has a 3.5" display, a 3 megapixel camera and a slower processor.  The other phone is named Peak and will i a larger screen (4.3"), A significantly better camera (8MP) and a more powerful processor.
In terms of look they both look similar to what we have seen before
in terms of modern smartphones and could easily be mistaken for any HTC, Huawei or Samsung device, from a distance.
Although Firefox OS claims to be unique, the screenshots look rather like slightly more basic versions of iOS or Android.  These phones will be entering a competitive and crowded market place.  They will not only face competition from iOS, Windows Phone and Android but also from other upcoming Operating systems such as Blackberry 10 which will be released later this year.
