Put Phone in 'Silent' Mode on Android Lollipop (5.0)

The really useful 'Sound - Vibrate - Silent' options which Android previously used were brilliant.  Unfortunately, Google have got rid of it (for some reason, completely unknown to us) - so how do you put your phone on silent?  You can't... But you can do something nearly as good:

 1) This button controls interruptions.  When turned to 'none' it effectively changes the phone to silence.  It can also be changed to 'priority' as well.
The icon, however, isn't automatically found so conveniently on the quick setting pull down menu.  To get it there, do this:





Click on the edit icon on the quick settings pull down menu, and move the interruptions button from Available buttons to Active buttons.
