iPhone/ iPad latest rumors: New iPads to be released in April, iPhone 5s August?

Unofficial sources at Apple have come forward to iMore (ww.imore.com) saying that new iPads will be released in April while the iPhone 5s will be released in April. We will most likely see the 5th generation iPad released in April and potentially the iPad mini 2.

Unfortunately the sources also informed iMore that the iPhone 5 will have the same basic design with an improved processor and camera. This is similar to the upgrade we saw from iPhone 4 to 4s and so it seems that there's nothing to get excited about.

We also don't expect huge changes to the iPad series, especially if they're released in April. Leaked case designs suggest the same basic shape for the iPad and the iPad mini. The iPad mini could get the biggest spec upgrade- hopefully a retina screen- while we expect processor upgrades in both devices as well as better camera's.

From what we understand, 2013 isn't going to be a big year for the iPhone or iPads. This shows lack of innovation at Apple, something that Apple is in great need of to avoid being overtaken in the smartphone market by Android phones.
