A patent registered by Apple gives more evidence towards the company releasing a Watch. The patent was only released to the public last Thursday but was registered in August 2011. Other sources have also confirmed Apple will be making a watch.

The patent says that the watch is a snap band and can also communicate with your iPhone via Bluetooth it will have a touchscreen display and will use solar and Kinetic energy (from your hand movements) to keep it powered.
Apple's rival, Samsung are also rumored to be working on a smart watch- under the name of Samsung Galaxy Altius.
