iPhone 5 sales fall

iPhone 5
Demand for Apple's thinnest and fastest phone have dropped in the past month, forcing Apple to cut their orders on iPhone parts.  Apple#s order for iPhone screens was cut by more than 50 % in December, signifying that not everybody is prepared to pay over £500 for the latest Apple product.

Previously, Apple had been struggling to meet demand for it's products with Pre-order sales becoming sold out in the same day as the iPhone 5 was announced.

Samsung Galaxy S3
The news comes at the same time as Samsung celebrate 100 million sales of their Galaxy S android based smartphones.  Maybe this is all a sign that Samsung may stand a chance of overtaking Apple's in the smartphone market sooner than anyone previously predicted.
