Hovering Touch screen gestures shown off at MWC 2013!

By Admin 02 March 2013
New technology which can detect your hand movements extremely accurately and then send this information to the device your using has been shown off at the Mobile World Congress 2013.  In practice, it is just like touchscreen apart from you're not actually touching the screen.  The demo we saw showed the technology to be extremely accurate, even supporting multi-"touch".

The company who has developed this technology is now looking to sell it to a smartphone manufacturer, like Samsung for example.  Unfortunately it does seem like this will be released to the public just yet but maybe in a couple of years time tablets and phones will all come with this or similar technology.  One benefit would be less fingerprint marks!

This video from C-net, shows the technology in action.
