The google nexus 7 can now be found for £160 but is still £200 in Currys and Dixons. The hardware is very good, made by Asus and the software is also up to date running the latest version of Android 4.1 (jelly bean). This is better than the also new amazon kindle fire which is priced and £125 but only runs the old gingerbread 2.3.

It is a budget 7" tablet and it comes with a new thing called google wallet. This allows you to pay for stuff using your tablet in real shops!

The connectivity is good. Well, the wifi is. Unfortunately there isn't a 3G or 4G version of the tablet out and we don't see any sign of them releasing one.

The tablet also comes with google play and a bunch of different apps, games and more built into it as little freebies.

Google has really focused on the user existence with this tablet. It is built well, just as good as the iPad ( thanks to Asus) and hey haven't tried to inch in too many silly physical or virtual features. Android 4.1 also helps with this.

Overall: 4.4/5 it's a good, simple but not bare, tablet running the latest version of Android. The price is also not too expensive at just £160.00
