This tablet has the Nividia tegra 2 processor. It's operating system is Google's Android 3.1 Honeycomb operating system. It only has 1 GB of RAM and this one has 16GB of memory, but therer are other options. It has an LED 9.4" screen and backlight HD display.
Unlike Apple's iPad it has a memory card reader and it's "device interface" is micro USB. Also unlike the iPad- it runs flash which is still used on many websites. This could work in their advantage.

- The battery life on the SONY is only around 8-9 hours whereas the iPad is around 10 hours.
- The iPad has the A5 processor which is probably faster
- The iPad has IOS 4 operating system which is Apple's latest and many think that it is better than the standard android.
- One thing the SONY S does beat the iPad on is it's weight. The S weighs 598g whereas the iPad is heavier and weighs 601g.
- The iPad is also more expensive than the Sony AS. The S can be found for £349.00 and the iPad for £399.00. (Both the 16GB models)
