Tesco's sells 400,000 of own brand tablet: Tesco Hudl

Above is a picture of the Tesco Hudl, the supermarkets own-brand Android tablet. It retails at just £119 and has a fairly standard 7" screen size. Other specs aren't bad for the price, the device comes with a 1.5GHz Quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM. Although there is better available, the screen quality isn't bad either at 1440x1900 pixels.

The build quality seems good as well, and despite the fact it's chunky the rubber back makes it feel secure and robust.

Since it's launch, the own-brand tablet has managed to sell 400,000 making it an undeniable hit in the UK. It took a quarter of these sales in the last month of 2013 so, seemingly, it was a Christmas hit.
