The popular music streaming service Spotify has launched an online merchandise shop in a bid to improve relations with artists and record labels. Spotify has said that they will take no percentage of the rofits from products sold through the site.
Spotify has been criticised for being unfair towards artists, with many complaining that they make very little money in comparison to iTunes where music is actually sold. Although Spotify depends on artists, it has become so popular that smaller artists can lose out if they do not get on the service.
