Nokia Asha 503- Review

By Admin 07 January 2014
Another phone in the Nokia Asha series has arrived, and its the Asha 503.  Firstly, this is a budget phone at just £70.00 and is aimed at emerging smartphone markets in places such as India and South America.
The Asha 503 has a 3" display which is small compared to the slightly more expensive ones, but not particularly bad none the less.  In terms of resolution, the phone comes in at 320X240 which, in layman's terms, is terrible.  Unfortunately, this really lets the phone down.  It makes webpages unpleasant to look at and therefore means the phone is only really good for texts and calls.
Even for a budget phone  It also has a 5MP camera, which is fairly good for a budget device.

In terms of operating system, the Asha runs it's own Asha OS software.   The battery life on the phone is a bit disappointing, you get just 4.5 hours when using 3G.

Overall, it's an okay device and just that.  The price is very reasonable and the camera not bad, but the phone really is let down by the screen.  It's probably not the best choice for a budget smartphone.  Instead, we recommend something like the Motorola Moto G.
