"Biggest attack in history" on the internet:
Security experts are describing an attack on the 'wider internet' which happened on the 27th March as the biggest in History.  The attack slowed internet users connections around the world, causing investigations by five national cyber-police forces.  The attack had, and could still be having, an impact on services such as netflix- with some worrying it could later effect e-mail and banking services.  The attack is part of a row between internet spam fighting group "spamhaus"- based in London- and dutch hosting service "cyberbunker" who have been known to be involved with spamming activities.  Spamhaus believe that Cyberbunker, along with criminal gangs from eastern Europe  are behind the attack.  These attacks are the biggest seen ever, sometimes reaching up to 300 GBPS, compared to usual attacks of around 50GBPS.

Crowd-funded "Ouya" games console launched!
Ouya consoleA crowd-funded, £65 console running Google's Android mobile Operating system has been launched.  The idea for the game was first put on Kickstarter(.com) where it raised an amazing £5.3 million from 63416 backers.  The idea of the console is that you will be able to play games at more reasonable prices (those similar to smartphone prices).  For example Fifa 13 is available for £27 for X-box whereas it is available on iPhone and iPad for £0.69 - £4.99 - a considerably lower price.

Blackberry Z10 reaches 1 million sales
Blackberry has turned a surprising profit with the blackberry Z10, however sales overall have plummeted.  In the three months leading up to March Blackberry made a profit of £65 million- compared to a previous $125 million loss.  However, in total, sales fell by over 30%- the lowest in five years.  There is no doubt that the majority of profit has been generated from the Z10 which costs Blackberry just £100 to make and is sold for around £525.
