Google Chrome, the web browser and OS system running on the Chromebook, and the Android mobile operating system "won't merge", Google's chairman has said.  The Executive chairman, Eric Schmidt said that the two products will remain separate but will "overlap" more.  This is probably a good idea as Chrome OS and Android are very different things.  Chrome OS is designed for a traditional desktop computer whereas Android is designed for touch screen Mobile and tablet devices.
