Wii U prices slashed despite Nintendo objection

By Admin 16 March 2013
UK retailers have defied the wishes of Nintendo and cut the price of the Wii U console.  Asda and amazon have cut the price by £50 meaning that the basic pack is no £199 while the premium pack can be bought for £249.
However, it is still believed that these retailers payed £205 per console meaning that they're going to be making a loss.  Overall, sales of the device haven't been good with Nintendo now predicting that just 4 million units will be sold this year as opposed to 5.5 million which the previously predicted.
