Samsung has announced their new flagship smartphone- the Galaxy S4!
As expected, the new phone features a bigger 5 inch screen, which is fully HD at 1080p with an impressive pixel density of 441ppi. Despite the screen being bigger, Samsung have managed to make the phone lighter ( by 5 grams)and thinner than the S3.
One unique feature (which was highly rumoured) is eye control! You will be able to scroll down the page, if reading text with this feature but Samsung have also incorporated it into video playing meaning when you look away, the video will pause.
Another new software update is that you can answer a phone call by waving your hand in front of the phone.
You can also swipe between video's etc. by moving your hand in a swiping gesture in front of your phone- without having to touch the screen.
Samsung have also made huge improvements to the camera. For example there is a 'Dual Shot' feature which lets you take a pic with the front camera and back camera at the same time. There's also 'Sound and Shot' which takes a picture as well as nine seconds of Audio. One really interesting one is 'Cinema Photo' which takes a picture/ video were part of it is still and part continues to move. The actual back-facing camera has been upgraded from 8MP to 13.
It will come in two colours- Black and white, but there's no pebble blue like we saw on the S3. In terms of release date- we've heard that the S4 will be out on the 16 April in 155 countries. At the moment, the pricing details haven't been released but we expected it to be a similar price to the S3 at about £480.00 which is cheaper then the iPhone 5.
